Anthony Joshua has revealed he is confident of beating Dillian Whyte inside three rounds at The O2 on Saturday.
Joshua (14-0-KO14), will finally get the chance to enter the ring with Whyte (16-0-K013), who beat him in 2009 when they were both amateurs.
“There’s a real divide in supporters. That’s what boxing is all about. We’ve got a rivalry going on and we get to put it to bed on Saturday night. Thanks for everyone who came to see me today and good luck to Dillian for his public workout,” Joshua told Sky Sports News HQ after his public workout on Monday.
“The only way you’re going to get to see that needle is watching it on Saturday night. That’s the beautiful thing about my sport. The date is set and whether you’re there or watching at home, you’ve got two fit heavyweights clashing. We’re both undefeated and someone’s ‘0’ has to go!
“We’re going to go to war Saturday. All the verbals are irrelevant to me. I do my bit in the ring. In the press conference, let them do the talking. I turn up Saturday and that’s when I want to do what I do.
“The British title is on the line and I can’t wait to get my hands on that. It’ll be a good push towards 2016. I want to step up so I need to get my hands on that belt and then look forward to 2016.
“It’s so exciting, especially in Britain. You’ve got the top dogs, champions, European level and contenders. Make sure you tune in because you’re going to see two heavyweights get it on. If I can get past Dillian, which I’m confident of, then it’s going to be a beautiful 2016.
“I don’t like to make predictions… he ain’t going to take me past three rounds.”
