The All progressives Congress, APC Gubernatorial Campaign Organization in Kano State, has assured residents of the state that its governorship candidate, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje will continue to build on policies and programmes of the current governor of the state, Ibrahim Kwankwaso, if voted into office in the April 11 governorship election.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Director of Press to the Deputy Governor, Bala Salihu Kudu, adding that the APC manifesto contains innovations and legislative proposals that would promote the manpower development and social participation in educational development.
“Drawing extensively from the information contained in the APC manifesto, the party under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje promises to ensure the continuation of educational development from where the present administration of Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso stopped.
“If voted into office, Dr Abdullahi would be committed to the educational development that is the backbone of the society, especially here in Kano State. Therefore, issues that matter to the average youths cut across the spectrum of policy areas such as agriculture- where predominantly everybody is a farmer.
Ganduje, who is the current deputy governor of the state, further said in the statement that if voted into office, he will provide women with greater legal protection from domestic violence.
