Emmanuel Emenike has made a stunning claim, that his three-month goal drought, was because a spell was cast on him.
The Nigeria and Fenerbahce striker went almost three months without scoring for his Turkish club and has now blamed bad luck for the barren run.
Speaking to Turkish newspaper Milliyet, the powerful frontman conceded that “something is wrong”.
“My energy is not right, something is wrong, I just need a goal to get back to form,” he said.
Emenike reportedly underwent a ritual called ‘Kur_un Dökme’ in a bid to “remove the curse”. Incredibly, the former Spartak Moscow man scored his first league goal since November 2, 2014 after the process.
He scored the winning goal, as Fenerbahçe beat Karabükspor at Dr. Necmettin Seyhoglu Stadi, to bring his tally to three in the league.
