I want new Barcelona contract – Neymar

Neymar has insisted that he wants to stay at Barcelona and he is ready to sign a new deal.

The Brazil captain’s father, who also acts as his agent, claimed earlier this month that although talk over a new contract were progresing, his son might be forced to leave Spain because of alleged tax evasion.

Neymar is alleged to have evaded £10.5m worth of taxes in Brazil from 2011 to 2013.

However, speaking after scoring twice in Barca’s 4-0 win over Real Sociedad, the 23-year-old stated that he hopes to finalize a new deal at the Nou Camp.

“I’ve still got years on my contract. My father has already spoken about my future,” he said.

“We’re talking about a renewal because my intention is to do so.”
