Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has revealed that he tried to play like Toni Kroos as his career wound down and has called on the club to sign the player from Real Madrid.
Scholes is 15 years older than Kroos, but says he tried to copy his style as he neared the end of his career.
“I really like Toni Kroos. When I neared the end of my career, I followed him closely and tried to play like Kroos,” he told Kicker.
“I was a midfielder with an eye for the goal, but Kroos is one of the best midfield masterminds in the world.”
Scholes says the Germany international will be an ideal partner for Paul Pogba and Ander Herera in the Red Devils’ midfield.
“Kross wuld be perfect at United next to Pogba and Ander Herrera,” he added.
