In yet another sensational outburst on Twitter, Peter Osaze Odemwingie has hinted that he might buy out his West Brom contract, as his frustrations with the English club hits the peak.
The 31-year-old’s relationship with the club has deteriorated, since he tried to force a transfer to Queens Park Rangers on January 31. On Monday, he tweeted that the Baggies were trying to ruin his career, after making just seven appearances this season, all from the bench.
Despite the club confirming that the Nigerian will be dealt with internally, he continued with his Twitter rants on Tuesday, stating, “I see a free player. A player who buys out his contract soon. Or a retired player. Does he looks like he cares much ? They made him not to.”
The estranged Super Eagles forward, also suggested that his failed move to QPR, was not entirely his fault, as West Brom also have a share of the blame.
“A simple phone call to return back would have been enough for me to return and deal only with laughs about saying bye to teammates,” he tweeted.
“Drove two hours to London. Spent hours there to drive back alone and arrive home 3am and still turn up at the training in the morning.
“Glad I respectfully thanked everyone before leaving. All could be simply avoided by clubs statement saying: it was a miscommunication.
“Instead I humbly took the blame on me and promised to comply with club rules. Manager says lets pls move on and forget. Yet I am not playing.”
Odemwingie has 15 months left on his current deal at the Hawthorns, but can pay off the club, as stated under article 17 of FIFA transfer regulations, since he is over 28 years.
