The presidential candidate of the Alliance for Democracy, AD, Rafiu Salau, has stated that he was the best candidate among other presidential candidates of the 2015 general elections.

He said he was far better than the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), hence Nigerians should change the cause of the country’s history by voting for him. He stated this in an interview with the Punch.

He said, “I’m the best candidate because I know the feelings of the people better than any presidential candidate. I am also better than President Goodluck Jonathan.

“I know the solutions to the nation’s problems. I know the type of economy Nigeria needs to survive and succeed. I know how to make our nation be the first in Africa,”.

He asserted further that the needed change would be attained under his leadership.

He affirmed, “Good governance is the objective. The economy will have room for all Nigerians. Every Nigerian will have the required skills and knowledge to participate in economic activities. To expand the economy, 30 per cent of the oil revenue shall be used for capital goods for development of businesses that will ensure economic growth.

‘’The population of unemployed Nigerians is more than many developed countries. To solve the problem of unemployment in Nigeria, every state shall have industrial city. And a state shall be created for the unemployed Nigerians. Developing the economy of the state will create jobs for them.”

I what appeared like a contradiction, he assured of his willingness to work with Buhari and Jonathan, if any of them was elected as president come 2015..
