Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, is pleased he does not have to deal with any player’s ‘headache’ as he focuses on catching up with Chelsea in the Premier League title race.
The French gaffer insists he has no issues with star player, Alexis Sanchez, suggesting the top scorer’s passion to play for Arsenal is at odds with that of Chelsea’s Diego Costa.
Sanchez showed his displeasure after being substituted in the 4-0 win at Swansea City on Saturday, but Wenger believes his Stamford Bridge counterpart, Antonio Conte has far greater problems with his star striker, Costa.
The Brazilian-born striker was not listed when Chelsea visited Leicester City on Saturday and official reason for his absence was a back complaint.
The burst-up was caused by speculation that Costa is the subject of a big-money offer from Chinese Super League, CSL, club, Tianjin Quanjian.
Wenger told reporters, “I’d rather have someone who always wants to be involved than someone who doesn’t want to play.
“I have enough problems —I don’t need a Costa problem on top of that.
“Alexis is a guy who wants to fight everywhere, sometimes where he shouldn’t. But that is a part of his game. All my players want to play for every minute but for me this is not a story.”
