I never said I’m Biafran – Chimamanda Adichie

Nigerian frontline novelist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has distanced herself from articles quoting her as saying she is Biafran.

The award-winning writer allegedly shared a screenshot of one of the headlines which quoted her saying she is Biafran.

She wrote, “Headline below, and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites are false.

“They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me.

“I did not say or write those words.”
