Donald Trump, US President, has reacted to his victory at the Supreme Court on Monday.
The US apex court ruling reinstated Trump’s travel ban targeting citizens from six mainly Muslim countries – Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen.
“Very grateful for the 9-O decision from the U. S. Supreme Court. We must keep America SAFE!”, Trump tweeted Monday evening.
Earlier, Trump said in a statement released by the White Housethat, “Today’s ruling allows me to use an important tool for protecting our nation’s homeland.
”Today’s unanimous Supreme Court decision is a clear victory for our national security.
“It allows the travel suspension for the six terror-prone countries and the refugee suspension to become largely effective.
”As president, I cannot allow people into our country who want to do us harm.”
