Coach of the Super Eagles Stephen Keshi, has admitted that he is still trying out his attackers, to get the best combination.
The former Mali boss, is without his star striker Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses and says he would have been a happier man, if he had the two players in his squad.
“It’s a shame that we don’t have Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses, so I have to continue to experiment with the strikers to get my best combination because I need to have a balanced squad all the way from defence to midfield to attack,” he said.
Keshi is currently tinkering with Brown Ideye and Anthony in central places. Musa Ahmed and Nnamdi Oduamadi have been largely used out on the wings. Oduamadi has scored four times, while Musa and Ideye have scored once each – numbers that don’t excite the Big Boss.
He said: “Sometimes as a player, you have anxiety that plays on your mind. Especially with the young players. It’s something we are working on and we hope to address that in this tournament.”
