“I’m confident of bringing in new players, I won’t panic buy” – Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, has once again stated that he is confident of bringing in new players this summer, even with four days left in the transfer market.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s North London derby, he said: “I am confident [of bringing players in]. We will not panic buy, that is for sure.”

Bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur, have brought in Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen, Paulinho, Soldado and Chadli this summer, but the Gunners boss is not concerned and wants to win the derby at the Emirates.

“It’s important that we continue [winning run],” he said. “It’s a good opportunity to show our strengths against Tottenham.”
