Chelsea handler, Jose Mourinho has said that he will spend only “five minutes” enjoying his club’s title triumph.
The Portuguese will be hoping to win the league with Chelsea on Sunday, when they welcome Crystal Palace to Stamford Bridge.
A win will confirm the Blues as champions, but Mourinho will immediately start preparing for next season, when Chelsea’s rivals would have beefed up their squads.
“I have to think about next season, yes,” he said. “If we win the title, obviously we’ll have something to do.
“We’ll have the Player of the Season, that club dinner all together.
“Obviously at home it will be a different night, not just one more day at home. Obviously I’m sensible. I’m waiting for that moment.
“But yes, we need to prepare for next season. We need to think about that.
“Normally it’s a flash, the moment that the final finishes or if it’s the game that gives you the league, you have like a flash of the people you love most.
“The people who are with you, a little bit of the most important moments that lead to that trophy. It’s like a quick flash. And, with me, five minutes later, move on.”
The title will be Chelsea’s first since 2010, which they won under Carlo Ancelotti.
