Head coach of Nigeria’s U-23 team, Samson Siasia, has dismissed reports that he has announced the three overage players he is taking to this year’s Olympics.
Last week, there were rumours that John Mikel Obi, Odion Ighalo and goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, will join the Dream Team VI for the competition.
Siasia has now denied making such decision and says he will only reveal the names at the right time.
“I have not named my overage players for the Olympics yet,” he told Goal.
“Don’t know where those quoted me got theirs from. I’m taking my time before naming them before the best legs deserve to be picked.”
Nigeria are in Group B with Japan, Sweden and Colombia.
