Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has refuted reports that claimed he has changed his mind about calling up players, who don’t feature for clubs in top divisions.
The former national team captain made this clear via his Twitter account on Wednesday, amid stories that he has soft-pedalled on his policy.
He, however, clarified that the criteria did not apply to talented young players.
“Only 1st division players are eligible to play for the Super Eagles. Only exceptions- U-23,U-20 players & Goalkeepers! No U-turn as some claim,” he tweeted.
Oliseh was appointed to replace Keshi this month.
