I feel the hardship in Nigeria – Desmond Elliot

Nollywood Actor, Desmond Elliot, says he feels the hardship ensuing from the current economic downturn in the country, even as he urged Nigerians to bear with the present administration.

The actor, who is a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, and representing Surulere Constituency, stated this on his Twitter handle after a user called out the government for not meeting the needs of Nigerians.

The user, one Charles otobo, @charles_otobo wrote: @followlasg @NGRPresident @deselliot @APCNigeria Fantastically Pathethic APC..no water no light no life #FantasticallyWIcked

The actor cum politician in a series of tweets responded and told him, likewise Nigerians, to exercise patience and be prayerful as things would get better soon.

On his handle ‏@deselliot, Elliot wrote: “Can prayers and commitment and total dedication to Nigeria will bring us back in track. PLEASE BE PATIENT.

“Charles, are you an activist, a concerned Nigerian or just one who is angry at everything around. Anger shouldn’t.

“Make you drive home a valid point wrongly. Going thru your time lime I see so much bitterness at everything.

“Myself is feeling the hardship and austere director situation we are in. The govt has 3 more year to do the best they can.

“And please, try to point out mistakes and corrections without curses and insults.

“With these very few points of mine Mr. Otobo, let’s pray that things get better within the shortest possible time.

“My dear I am a common man as well and I feel it, I know hard it is to pay school fees, stay without power, water etc.

“Even in the desert people pull through, I have decided it won’t weigh me down but I’ll do my best at achieving development.

“I also dream of a country where power, short water supply, bad roads will be a thing of the past.”
