I don’t want to talk about bringing Alexis Sanchez to Chelsea – Conte

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has said he focused on this weekend’s Premier League clash against West Brom and not transfers.

This week, Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez was linked with a switch to their London rival, as his contract stand-off with the Gunners lingers on.

Conte says he does not like talking about other club’s players and is satisfied with his squad for now.

“I don’t think it is right to talk about other players and other teams,” he said at a press conference on Friday.

“It is not right and we are totally focused on the next game.

“January and next season are very far away for us. It is important not to talk about other players because it is a lack of respect. We have four games before January. It’s important to be focused on these games.

“January is far away for me. Now I’m pleased, very glad, with this squad and to work with these players. For this reason, I repeat: stay concentrated on this game, go game-by-game, and then we’ll see.”

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has insisted that he will not sell Alexis, but would rather see him run down his contract at the Emirates.
