Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has admitted that he is not sure he will become a top player in future.

The Nigerian youngster, is set to sign a new £40,000-a-week deal at the Etihad and insists he will not allow his new-found fame get into his dead.

“I don’t know anyone who is playing who doesn’t want to keep improving and be at the top level,” the Super Eagles starlet was quoted on Clubcall.

He added that, “I don’t know if I will end up being a top player or not – I’ll be working hard to achieve that and I wouldn’t complain if that happened! I just have to keep going and see where it takes me.

“So much has happened in the past few years and it is difficult to take in. If you start thinking about being here one moment and there the next, your brain would get overloaded and your head would be spinning so it’s best not to think about it too much.”

The 19-year-old is expected to hold talks with incoming City manager, Pep Guardiola, in the coming weeks.
