I can’t restore Manchester United’s glory – Mourinho

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has admitted he cannot restore the club to its former glory, telling Gary Lineker: “Forget it!”
Mourinho was speaking on the Premier League Show on BBC Two, where he discussed his vision for the Old Trafford outfit.
The Portuguese said it was impossible to recreate what Sir Alex Ferguson was able to achieve at the club
“Forget it! It’s not possible don’t try to go 10, 20 years ago, because it’s not possible anymore,” Mourinho said.
“I have many, many doubts that dominance is going to be back in the Premier League.
“So win titles, try to get back to the Champions League, try to win in Europe.
“But the base has to be the empathy with the fans and the empathy with the fans is based on the quality of our football.
“So this is something that has to be the basis of eveything.”
