After online media have been awashed with news that popular music star, Ayo Balogun otherwise known as Wizkid insulted fellow artiste, Dapo Oyebanjo better known as D’Banj on twitter some days ago, Wizkid has finally opened up on the controversial tweet.
The Empire Mates Entertainment artiste went to twitter to dissociate himself from the tweet accredited to him. Wizkid did not hide his frustration at the controversies surrounding the tweet which has refused to die down.
On Tuesday, August 7, the multiple award-winning singer responded to the allegation when he tweeted; “Don’t owe no one nothing. D’Banj is a friend and a big brother to me, and I am way too grown to tweet that shit. Get it.”
Wizkid, who burst into limelight with his hit single ‘Holla at your boy’, is not new to muddy waters of controversies.
The controversial tweet, as gathered, has already been deleted. A look at the supposedly twitter handle of Wizkid that tweeted the controversial tweet shows that the account must have been a fake one. The twitter handle, which has the same name with the original Wizkid’s twitter handle, @wizkidayo, was opened on May 2012.
The controversial tweet read; “@iamdbanj baby when are you going to sing with kanye naw? I hate d way he’s using you as akpan*sad face* c psqaure chilling with rick ross haba.”
