Scores of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, aspirants made last minute efforts to beat the party’s deadline for the submission of expression of interest and nomination forms yesterday.
Many of the aspirants rushed to the national secretariat of the party in Abuja yesterday to submit their forms.

Ohakim, while speaking to Journalists, said Imo State will lose N20 billion in monetary value if he fails t o get the ticket come November 29 governorship primary election of the party.
He added that, if he gets back to power, he will empower 10,000 youths and 1.4 million artisans in the state.
The former Governor said though the APC government of Owelle Rochas Okorocha is in charge of the state, the party is not in power, adding that he decided to run again so as to rescue the state from what he called calamity.
“The blue print of Imo which I started need to be completed, if I lose the ticket, Imo State will lose N20 billion uncompleted project. What we have to do is to complete the unfinished project”.
Speaking of his chances of coming out victorious in the PDP primaries despite the array of aspirants eyeing the party’s governorship ticket, Ohakim said: “I have been a governor before, no other aspirants have been governor among them, I handed over to Okorocha”
