I am not worried about Neymar’s form – Luis Enrique

Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique, has insisted that he is not bothered about Neymar’s recent dip in form.

The Brazilian forward netted 17 times in his first 20 league games of this season, but has not scored in the last five La Liga games.

Luis Enrique said he is pleased with what the 23-year-old brings to his team.

“I am not worried about Neymar’s form,” the Barcelona coach said at a press conference.

“We are talking about a player of the highest level. I have no doubt that he will return to his best and start scoring goals again.

“And even when he does not score, Neymar still contributes a lot to the team.”

The former Celta Vigo coach, also defended midfielder Andres Iniesta, who has only been widely criticized for his recent performances.

He added: “We are more than happy with Iniesta’s performances. Andres gives the team a lot in all aspects of the game.

“He is a pleasure to watch. Of course, I always want all my players to improve and do even better.”
