Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, has revealed that he spoke with Real Madrid over a possible transfer, before signing for the Blues.
According to Sky Sports, the Spain international held talks with the La Liga club for several years.
Fabregas left Arsenal in 2011 to rejoin his boyhood club, Barcelona. Three years later, he made a surprise return to the Premier League, to join Chelsea.
He said: “Well, there were contacts over several years and with different presidents. An agreement was never concluded.
“There were things, but there was no final agreement. It lacked the step forward.”
