Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has admitted he allows Cristiano Ronaldo freedom, to pick up whatever positions he likes during football games.
Ronaldo scored his 99th and 100th goals in European competition, with his brace in their 2-1 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday.
His first was a volleyed finish from Dani Carvajal’s low cross, before stabbing in from close range through Manuel Neuer’s legs.
The Portugal captain started the match from the left, with Karim Benzema playing through the middle. But he finished it as a centre-forward after the French striker was taken off.
“Cristiano knows where his position is,” Zidane said after the game.
“He knows when to play centre-foward or on the left. The positions he takes, and where he scores his goals – that’s all him.”
