Human rights lawyer accuses Fayose of harassing legislature, judiciary


Human rights lawyer, Morakinyo Ogele on Thursday accused the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose of harassing and intimidating the state legislature and judiciary.

Speaking in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, Ogele revealed that the State Governor has eroded the principle of separation of power in the state.

According to Ogele, “Fayose harassed and intimidated members of the House of Assembly to pass a resolution asking the Olukere of Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Ganiyu Obasoyin, to stop parading himself as a monarch.”

Ogele, said Fayose did not allow the Committees on Public Petitions and Chieftaincy Matters to conclude their assignments before ordering them to pass the resolution.
