Former governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, has reacted to the emergence of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as the new Deputy Senate President.
Uduaghan, who defeated Omo-Agege in 2006 to clinch the Peoples Democratic Party governorship ticket in Delta State, expressed his excitement at Omo-Agege’s victory via a statement he personally signed on Tuesday.
He said: “Congratulations to Nigeria’s brand new Senate President Senator Ahmed Lawan and Deputy, my own brother from Delta APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
“I am particularly excited for my co-Alumnus of Great University of Benin His Excellency, Ovie Omo-Agege Esq, the Deputy Senate President of the Nigerian Senate for making us proud in Delta State and South-South region.
“This victory will further establish our party’s aspirations and Next Level programs for the South-South.
“I also congratulate our party, the APC, ably led by our dogged Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for ensuring that our nominees emerged. Next Level is officially launched in the ninth Assembly.”
