National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, weekend, stated that former governor of Abia State, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, has made the party vibrant in the south eastern part of the country.

Oyegun said Kalu had succeeded in enlarging the coast of the party, especially in the South Eastern region since pitching his tent with the ruling party.

The APC leader made the remarks at the APC national secretariat while welcoming Chief Mark Wabara into the party.

He said, “His Excellency, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has done so much for us and I can’t thank him enough.

“APC is now vibrant in the South East and our challenges have been taken care of. We are also seeing your works all over social media and I want to congratulate you for the good job you are doing for our great party.

“The good things you are doing nationally and internationally and for the kind of motivational messages you are always extending to our youths. May God continue to expand you and give you the wisdom to continue playing the role that you are playing.”

Speaking on Kalu’s role for the sustenance of the unity of the nation, Oyegun added, “You have been unequivocal about national unity at a time like this; we celebrate when the true leaders of the people stand firm and say we are better as one people and one nation.

“It simply shows its the quality of people we really need. I am fully happy and as far as the South East is concerned, there are a lot more that I may not say on a day like this, but I am now convinced that the true leaders of the South East know the stakes being one of the true leaders of the South East.”
