How NSCDC discovered corpse of missing farmer in Jigawa

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, command in Jigawa State, says it has discovered a farmer’s body butchered by unidentified men at Gunka village in Jahun local government area.

Spokeperson of the command, SC Adamu Shehu, confirmed the development to DAILY POST.

He said on 23\07\2019 at about 09:00hrs, the command’s personnel received a report that 35-year-old Nafi’u Malam Shitu of Gunka village, went missing since he left his house to the farm on 21\07\2019 in the morning.

Adamu added that a search and rescue operation was mounted by the command and in the process, a dead body was discovered by the village river bank with his two eyes pluck out and tongue cut off.

He said the body was immediately taken to the Primary Health Care facility in Gunka village for medical examination and was confirmed dead.

“He was slaughtered,his two eyes were removed and tongue cutoff by unidentified men,” he said.

The Command’s spokeperson however stated that no arrest has been made so far but that investigation is going on to ascertain the cause of his death.
