President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed how his administration intends to end poverty in the country, stressing that it would actualize this by ensuring continuous creation of jobs.

Buhari, who spoke while declaring open the Katsina economic summit on Tuesday, explained that the provision of employment is the biggest way to escape poverty.

While calling on the private sector to partner with the Federal Government in the industrialisation of the country, he assured that the private sector had a bigger role in the quest for industrial development.

His words, “Creating employment is the biggest way to escape poverty. I will bring all resources to end poverty by creating jobs.

“Federal government alone cannot deliver the high expectations of the people without the intervention of the private sector.”

The President further assured that the federal government will partner with any state government that shows bright initiatives like Katsina for the economic revival of the country.
