How Mourinho snubbed Lacazette for Lukaku

Manchester United passed up the opportunity to move for Alexandre Lacazette before landing Romelu Lukaku, it has been revealed.
According to The Guardian, United manager Jose Mourinho had the chance to sign Lacazette from Lyon, but decided against trying to land the 26-year-old.
Instead, he has sanctioned a £75million for Lukaku, who has now completed his move to Old Trafford.
“He’s a natural fit for Manchester United,” Mourinho said about Lukaku on Monday.
“He’s a big personality and a big player. It’s only natural that he wants to develop his career at the biggest club.
“He will be a great addition to the group and I know they will make him very welcome.
“I’m really looking forward to working with him again.”
Lacazette has since signed for Arsenal in a £46 million transfer, becoming the Gunners’ most expensive player ever.
