How Mourinho is persuading Morata to join Manchester United

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has apparently won the race to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, after convincing the player that he would be a major leader in his attack next season.

Spanish newspaper, Marca, reports that Mourinho told the striker that United would be the perfect club for him at this stage of his career.

Morata looks likely to quit the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, after failing to secure a regular first-team place under Zinedine Zidane last season. Despite his limited playing time, he still managed to score 20 goals for the La Liga and Champions League winners.

Mourinho is now pushing for the player, who he gave his first professional contract at Madrid.

United have already announced a deal for Victor Lindelof from Benfica  and are set to splash the cash, ahead of their return to the Champions League next year.
