A 20-year-old student of Bell University , Ota, Ehi Adokwu has emerged winner of the Miss Idoma 2013 beauty pageant.
Ehi, a native of Ohimini LGA of Benue State defeated 15 other contestants to emerge winner of the 4th edition of the pageant, thus smiling home with a brand new car and other mouth-watering prizes.
The new queen who is also the daughter of Air-Vice Marshal Adokwu had in a brief with DailyStar correspondent in Otukpo said she was short of words, “I just don’t know what to say. I am overwhelmed and I promised never to abuse this privilege given to me,” she assured.
It would be recalled that the new Queen had last year lost the crown to her namesake, Ehi Ejeh.
Earlier in her farewell speech, the outgoing queen, Miss Ejeh gave a detailed account of her achievements during her one year in office.
She said, “I visited the prison inmates in Otukpo; where I gave out items such as toiletries and other materials to the prisoners.
I distributed the Seed of Destiny daily devotion to every one of them. I believe as they read through it everyday their lives would change for good.
I also visited the General Hospital, Otukpo where I gave out toiletries, antiseptics and other items to the patients there. I also distributed treated mosquito nets to my people to help fight against malaria,” she added.
