May 13, 2017 will go down in Chelsea’s history, as the day the club won two Premier League titles.
While the senior team defeated West Brom 1-0 to clinch their fifth title in 13 years, the U-18s matched that feat earlier in the day with a 3-0 win against Reading.
Antonio Conte’s side has to defeat Arsenal in the FA Cup final later this month to secure the domestic double.
But the youth side have already achieved that, beating Manchester City to the FA Youth Cup last month.
The senior team needed a 82nd minute goal from Michy Batshuayi, to hand Conte the title in his first season.
Second-half goals from Conor Gallagher, Harvey St Clair and Mason Mount gave the U18s victory against the Royals. Apart from the Premier League and FA Youth Cup, they have also been crowned Southern Champions of the Professional Development League.
