One of the contenders for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Chairmanship, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has likened the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to a barren woman impregnated by his party, the PDP, stressing that the APC was only able to win the 2015 election because some members of the then ruling party decamped to it.
It would be recalled that in the build up to the 2015 elections, some governors, chieftains and leaders of the PDP defected to the then opposition party.
But speaking to party faithful in Kaduna on Monday, Dokpesi said the APC either as Alliance for Democracy, AD, Action Congress, AC, or Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, was unable to win national election in the country before some members of the PDP joined them prior to the 2015 elections.
“The APC is like a barren woman impregnated by the PDP; either as AD, AC or ACN that couldn’t win election until members of PDP joined them,” he said.
The founder of Africa Independent Television, AIT, said the APC has chosen to dehumanise and persecute PDP members in a bid to weaken the party and turn Nigerians against it.
He urged party faithful to be united and fearless in the face of persecution, stating that PDP remains the only national party that is rooted in every hamlet of the country.
Dokpesi vowed to return PDP to winning ways by making it the darling of Nigerians when elected as the chairman of the party.
