Officers from Azuka Police Station, Ogbor Hill, Aba in Abia State have arrested a housewife, Immaculata Kalu over the death of her husband, Ndubuisi Kalu.

Ndubuisi slumped and died after he was allegedly pushed down by his wife, Immaculate.

Commenting on the incident, one Ogbonna Ike who resides at Pepple’s Street, where the incident happened, alleged that the deceased’s wife pushed him during a disagreement.

“We learnt that on the day of the incident, the deceased went out and came back after a while, drunk. The wife who was not happy with his new drinking habit started rebuking him and that angered the man. But while they were arguing, the man was pushed by his wife and he slumped and died,” Ogbonna said.

Confirming the tragedy, the Abia State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Ezekiel Onyeke Udeviotu said the police were also on the trail of owner of the house where the deceased was residing.

“We heard that Kalu had a history of epilepsy and there are other things that we need to find out because from what we got, the landlady gave them quit notice and that she ejected them on the day of the incident,” he said.

Udeviotu also added that the deceased, who was earning N17, 000.00, took to drinking after he lost his job.
