Hotelier declared wanted by Police in Anambra for kidnap, armed robbery and murder cases

Due to the rampant kidnapping and armed robbery incidents that have taken over the major parts of Anambra State, the State’s police command has declared a Hotelier, Mr. Okey Nwaforagu (alias Ochiagha Nkpor) wanted.

The Police source claimed that Nwaforagu is a notorious man, well known for his many atrocities that ranges from armed robbery to kidnapping. He was also alleged to be responsible for the murder of two policemen who were killed in his hotel at Nkpor, Idemili Local Government Area of the state.

The wanted man who hails from Enugwu–Umusiome village, is also accused by the police for being unlawfully found in possession of prohibited firearms and and has been accused of serials of murder cases.

All efforts by the Police to trap and arrest him in the hideout yesterday were met with brick walls, as he disappeared before the arrival of the security men.

In a twist of tales, Nwaforagu denied being on the run. He claimed he only went to the Zone nine headquarters of the police in Umuahia, Abia State to make a formal report about the alleged invasion of his hotel. He also maintained that he has no reason to hide or flee from his base in Nkpor, but believes his recent ordeal with the police was due to the petition he wrote against them.
