Horsfall tells Wike: Forget Rivers governorship, go and clean your image

The former minister of state for Education, an Ikwerre man from the mainland of Rivers State, is favoured to pick PDP governorship ticket against popular agitations in the state for power to shift to the riverine people. He was openly endorsed by First Lady, Patience Jonathan with support from political heavyweights in the state, including former governor, Dr. Peter Odilli, Sergeant Awuse, Austin Opara among others.

Meanwhile, another strong contender for the governorship seat, Prince Tonye Princewill had said during the weekend in an interview with DailyPost that Wike could make a good campaign Manager for him, asserting that he (Wike) was merely jumping the role he ought to be playing in Rivers state by contesting for a position meant for him. Princewill said it would be better he plays the role of a stakeholder as a decision maker instead of coming warming up for the governorship role.
