Hoodlums injure 5 artists in Bauchi over political jingles

No fewer than five artists have been confirmed injured following an attack on a musical studio by some hoodlums in Bauchi State.

DSP Datti Kamal Abubakar, Bauchi State Police Command Spokesman confirmed the incident to DAILY POST, saying five of the artists were critically injured.

The incident followed an attack by suspected political hoodlums at the insurance house along Murtala Mohammed Way, Bauchi.

Abubakar added that already, discreet investigation has been launched apparently to arrest the suspects.

Eye witness told DAILY POST that about 10 hoodlums stormed the artist’s studio and attacked them with weapons.

During the mayhem, studio equipment worth millions of Naira were destroyed.

It was gathered that victims were rushed to Albishir Clinic by good Samaritans for medical attention.

DAILY POST learnt that the attack may not be unconnected to political jingles/ Hausa songs released in favour of a political opponents of the ruling party.
