Hoodlums defile President Buhari’s shoot-at-sight’s order, hijack ballot boxes in Kogi

There were reported cases of ballot box snatching on Saturday in Ogori Magongo Local Government Area of Kogi State, despite warnings by President Muhammadu Buhari that ballot box snatchers would pay with their lives.

Elections went on smoothly barely all parts of Kogi central senatorial District, until at about 2.30 pm when hoodlums allegedly opened fire, shooting sporadically into the air and snatched the ballot boxes away to an unknown location.

The areas that witnessed the incidents include Ayeromi, Ileteju Okesi and Oshobane wards in Ogori Magongo Local Government Area of the state.
