President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday described the recent killing in Zamfara, Benue and Plateau States as “wicked.”
He said this while meeting with leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir via his Twitter handle, quoted Buhari as saying, “The recent killings in Zamfara, Benue and lately Plateau are wicked, condemnable and completely unacceptable acts, President @MBuhari says today during a meeting with a delegation of CAN leaders from 19 northern states and the FCT Abuja.
“Let me make it clear that even a single life lost in any part of the country is one too many. I came to office vowing to ensure the protection of lives and property, and I remain committed to this despite the challenges we have experienced.”
Buhari had met CAN from 19 Northern States and the FCT, Abuja, led by Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam.
The meeting held at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
