The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condemned the visit of All Progressive Congress (APC) governors to Benue on Friday.
Some members of the Northern Governors Forum on Friday led by Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, visited the state to condole with the people over killings allegedly perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen.
PDP, in reaction described the governors’ visit as a ‘spit on the graves of Benue victims’ rather than condolence.
The party queried why it took the APC governors 18 days to visit the state.
PDP via its official twitter handle wrote: “The visits by the @APCNigeria governors to Makurdi, Benue State was no longer about condolence but to dance and spit on the graves of those slaughtered by bandits.
“It took 18 days of begging by the @OfficialPDPNig for the governors to consider visiting the state.”
