Belgium side KAS Eupen, have confirmed they are in talks with Premier League side, West Ham, over the transfer of last season joint-top scorer in the Belgium league, Henry Onyekuru.

Onyekuru scored 24 goals last season and has been attracting a lot of interest from top clubs in Belgium, Germany, Scotland and England.

Despite speculation that Arsenal had agreed to activate his release clause, Eupen says only the Hammers have shown concrete interest in the 20-year-old.

“We received inquiries from all of the teams mentioned but only West Ham followed up with a firm bid. For now that is the only bid we have on the table. Thanks,” a top official of the club said in an email to Owngoalnigeria.com.

Onyekuru, who is currently on international duty with the Super Eagles, failed to make the match day squad, as Nigeria lost 2-0 to South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier .
