Heartland goalkeeper, Ebele Obi, is adamant that the club will not be relegated from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.
The Owerri club are 17th on the table with 37 points from 32 matches and lost to bottom club Ikorodu United last weekend.
The shot stopper, who is the elder brother of Super Eagles captain, Mikel John Obi, claims they were unlucky against Ikorodu United.
“We were so unlucky against Ikorodu United, it’s a game we supposed to have won with wide margin but we were lucky not to have scored goals from the numerous chances we created,” he told AfricanFootball.
“I believe that by God’s grace, we will remain in the premier league.”
Heartland travel to El Kanemi Warriors this weekend.
