The head office of the All Progressives Congress (APC) faction, which recently suspended Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna State, has been demolished. The faction is led by Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi.

The building, located at Sambo Road, Unguwar Rimi, was said to have been demolished in the early hours of Tuesday by officials of the Kaduna State Urban Development Authority (KASUPDA) due to non-payment of ground rent for eight years.

Before now, the building served as a parallel APC state secretariat championed by Senator Hunkuyi.

Impeccable sources told DAILY POST that Hunkuyi was served with a notice for non-payment of ground rent yesterday by 3.49 pm by officials of KASUPDA.

Officials of the agency stormed the area with heavily armed security men to demolish the building around 4.00am on Tuesday.
