Coach of the Super Eagles Stephen Keshi, has taken a swipe at former international and football analyst, Sunday Oliseh, for daring to criticise his team selection.

The Big Boss has come under fire, after he travelled with eight home-based players to the just concluded FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil. One of such people who felt the coach did the wrong thing, was Oliseh and Keshi was quick to remind him that he was a nobody when he made his debut too.

”It is a shame that Sunday Oliseh could say a thing like that. He was a nobody when he came to the national team. He started from home too,” Keshi said.

”When he came to the national team, I took him as a younger brother. I later (as an assistant coach to Amodu Shuabu) made him captain and he became a super star. Who knows what these boys could become in future?”

He also went ahead to plead with the media to support his rebuilding agenda in the national team.

“Is it bad that we are trying to build a team with the inclusion of home-based players? Please, help me question the integrity of those who are opposed to this and Tell them what it’s right,” he declared.
