Real Madrid are so confident of landing Eden Hazard from Chelsea this summer, that they have reserved a squad number for him.
According to Spanish outlet, Don Balon, Hazard will inherit Cristiano Ronaldo’s no. 7 shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He wears No.10 for Chelsea, but the number is currently occupied by Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric.
Hazard has emerged as the LaLiga side’s top target to replace Ronaldo, with both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe set to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a stunning World Cup campaign in Russia, but hinted after their third-place playoff win over England, that his future could be away from Chelsea.
“After six wonderful years at Chelsea, it might be time to discover something different,” he said.
“I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision.
“If they let me out, you already know my favorite destination.”
