Gustavo close to £14m Arsenal move

According to the Metro UK, Arsenal are set to complete the signing of Luiz Gustavo from Bayern Munich.

The Gunners are looking to sign a defensive midfielder and have been linked with moves for Marouane Fellaini, Lars Bender, amongst other players, but it now appears it is the Brazil international that will arrive at the Emirates.

If the 26-year-old signs, he will become Arsene Wenger’s second signing of this summer, after Yaya Sanogo arrived on a free transfer from Ligue 2 side Auxerre.

Gustavo played just 16 Bundesliga games last season, as the Bavarians won the League, the Champions League and the German Cup and is now seen as surplus to requirement by new manager, Pep Guardiola.
