Gunmen kill four police officers in Yobe

Armed men at about 3pm on Wednesday killed four mobile policemen guarding a telecommunications mast in Unguwar Kuka, Ngazargama, 40 kilometers from Damaturu, the Yobe state capital.

Sources say the gunmen stormed the scene in a Toyota Hilux van and a Volkswagen Golf car.

They immediately opened fire on the mobile policemen before escaping, taking along with them a Honda 86 Saloon car belonging to one of the deceased policemen.

Already, male residents of the town were seen moving out of the town the moment they heard that JTF operatives had been deployed to the area, juts to avoid been arrested innocently.
