Gunmen kill former president of Judiciary in Kano

Heavily armed suspected killers invaded Usamatu Badawi in Hotoro area of Kano state, killing the former national President of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria.

The Public Relations Officer of JUSUN, Mr. Sule Aliyu, while confirming the sad incident said the killing is suspected to have occurred between 11pm and 12am.

Residents say they heard gunshots but were unaware of the killing until they found his corpse lying by the roadside close to his house around 7am on Saturday morning. Both his eyes were seen bulging out and his Honda saloon car with Kano judiciary plates was presumed stolen by his killers.

Kano state Police PRO, ASP Musa Magaji Majiya disclosed that the police had received report of an armed robbery incident in which a judiciary official was killed and his car stolen at gun point.
