Unknown gunmen on Monday kidnapped Adamawa Peoples Democratic Party’s chieftain, Chief Emmanuel Pentecost Agiso.

His younger brother, Tyros Agiso, confirmed his abduction to THISDAY on Monday in Yola, Adamawa State capital.

Agiso said the PDP chieftain was abducted in the presence of his wife at about 1am on Monday at his Girei residence in Girei local government area, few kilometres from the state capital.

He said, “The abductors were well armed but did not hurt anybody, as they only carted away the wife’s mobile telephones and left Agiso’s mobile telephones behind.

“I believe that the abductors left his brother’s mobile telephones behind to use as a medium to demand for ransom.

He further explained that no one knows the whereabouts of the PDP chieftain, adding that they are still waiting for the abductors to call.

He said the family had reported the incident to Girei police station for further actions.
